Air Mandalay" Limited is a joint venture between Air Mandalay Holdings and Myanma Airways and commenced its operation from Yangon to Mandalay on 01 November 1994. Air Mandalay with one ATR 72 and two ATR 42 Aircrafts operates its golden flights from Yangon to Bagan, Mandalay, Heho, Tachileik, Kyaing Tong and Sittwe regularly and to Thandwe during the period of October to May. In addition to these domestic destinations, international routes are also operated from Yangon to Chiang Mai, Chaing Mai to Mandalay and operate charter flights to any feasible destinations upon request.

Aircraft Fleet Air Mandalay 's modern fleet currently comprises of two ATR-72-212s and one ATR 42-320 built by Aerospatiale of France and Alenia of Italy and powered by Canadian built Pratt & Whitney engines. The aircraft are mintained to European JAR 145 Standard at our maintenance facility in Yangon which has European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) part 145 approval. All aircarft in Air Mandalay's Fleet and the maintenance facility are inspected twice a year by the Direction General de I'Aviation Civile (DGAC) France .

Yangon Airways was established in October 1996 as a domestic airline in a Joint venture between Myanma Airways, the state-owned national airline and Krong-Sombat Co. of Thailand. In October 1997, MHE-Mayflower Co. acquired Krong-Sombat's shares in Yangon Airways and since then the airline has evolved into a principal domestic airline operating scheduled and charter services from Yangon to 13 prime commercial and tourist destinations in Myanmar.

Aircraft Fleet Yangon Airways operates new ATR 72-210s powered by Pratt & Whitney PW-127 engines and fitted with state-of-the-art avionics system. The aircraft have an impressive exterior and appealing interior, a highly efficient performance and extra quiet operating conditions. They are configured to carry 70 passengers with 30-inch seat pitch. Yangon Airway's aircraft are maintained to the highest standards of airworthiness requirements.
