  Day 1:   Bangkok/ Yangon
  Arrival at Yangon International airport where you will be welcomed by Tamarind's tour guide and transfer to hotel.
 
Walking tour in the heart of Yangon, where we will observe various architecture, and have opportunities to take photographs of Burma’s Capital.
 
Lunch at Traders Hotel, Summer Palace Chinese Restaurant.
 
Chauk Htut Gyi Reclining Buddha Image where we can learn about the signs of 108 figures on Buddha’s foot print.
Evening visit to Shwedagon Pagoda.
 
Enjoy dinner at Karaweik Palace restaurant where you will enjoy a delightful dinner while you absorb an evening of traditional Myanmar dance and music.
   

Over night in Yangon.

  Day 2:   Yangon/ Bagan by morning flight - drive to Mt. Popa
 

A 70 min early morning flight to Bagan; the first and most beautiful capital of Myanmar.

We will visit to Nyaung Oo Typical Market: the morning market is lively with local products trading of variety of beans, sesame, vegetables, flowers, bamboo wares and colorful emotions of vendors which is really attractive to visitors.

   
   
   
 
Then we will drive to Mt. Popa (4981 feet), an extinct volcano, with temperate weather and lush green landscape.
 
At the base of Mt. Popa rests the stunning Taung Ka Lat (2417 feet) where the Popa Temple sits atop. There is an iron staircase that ascends to the Popa temple where you will encounter shops of flowers, refreshment sellers, local goods as well as some local wildlife along the way.
(Please kindly be aware that there are many monkeys playing on the stairs way – if your clients would like not being teased by monkey, please skip it and better not to go up to the temple)
 
The scenery from the apex is truly fascinating where you can view the stunning Mount Popa and the enormous flat plains that lead to Bagan.
 
Afternoon, we will visit the villages around the area and observation to the plantation of medicated plants.
Enjoy leisure evening with Mountain View from hotel balcony.
     

Overnight in Popa.

  Day 3:    Mt. Popa - Bagan
 

On the way we will observe the agrarian lifestyle of this regional farmers extracting palm juice from palm trees and making a local favorite candy with the same palm juice called jaggery.

Spend the day seeing the ancient temples reknown:
 
Shwezigon pagoda, Dhamayangyi temple, Htilo Minlo temple, Wetgyi-In Gu Byauk Gyi, each temple has own unique taste to observe.
 
After lunch we will proceed to the work place of handmade lacquerware, and observe the detailed process of the making of Myanmar lacquerware & its products.
Visit to Anandar Temple, Thatbyinnyu temple.
 
We will take a horse cart to Shwesandaw Pagoda affording unequaled views of Bagan’s landscape. We will climb up to the brick-stairs way and enjoy the sunset view offers your guest’s unforgettable memory.
  Dinner at Thiripyitsaya Sanctuary Resort Restaurant.
     

Overnight in Bagan.

  Day 4:    Bagan
 

We will wake up about 5:30 AM, will climb to one of the temples to watch sunrise in panorama of Bagan plain which will offer you magnificent morning start.

We will go back to hotel, and enjoy breakfast at Garden Terrance.
 
We will drive to Minanthu Village where we can see rural life of the village people who live in the dry zone of Central Myanmar. It locates 15-20 min drive away from Bagan old town.
 
We can observe to the village people who live in the dry zone of Central Myanmar ways of living, how they survive for daily life, workplaces of spin, oil-press with ox driven from peanuts, sunflowers seeds, sesame seeds, heat iron tire and fit on the cart wheel, the feature of upcountry village homes, how they get drinking water as there is very dry zone. The visit will take us for half day.
We will drive back to Bagan, take a leisure afternoon.
 
In the late afternoon, an hour boat trip along Ayarwaddy River affords inspiring views of the brick-hued pagodas and temples of sunset.
     

Overnight in Bagan.

  Day 5:   Bagan - Nyaung Oo/ Heho by morning flight - Kalaw by car
 

We will drive to Nyaung Oo Airport to take flight to Heho.

 
After arrival, a 2 hours scenic drive to Kalaw, 4300 ft (1440 meters) above the sea level, where was once a favorite hill station for British administrative officials and another summer resort for their family during hot season.
  A peaceful town surrounded by pine woods, home for Palaung, Pa-O, Taung-Yo, Dha Nu hill tribe of Shan ethnic.
 
After check-in hotel we will visit a glorious Buddha Image made by thin bamboo strips lacquered built in over 500 year ago. We will have an opportunity to speak with young novices & elderly nuns who take care of refreshment such as Shan tea served with pickle tea leave, roasted sesame, garlic and peanut when visitors coming.
  In the late afternoon, We will have time to sit at small tea shop, seeing the locals is a kind of interesting.
  Back to hotel, reading or enjoy a panorama view of the town as the wooden villa where we will be staying is built on hill, offers your clients for their peace and quiet late afternoon.
We will go out for dinner at Seven Sister Restaurant.
     

Overnight in Kalaw.

  Day 6:   Kalaw - Inle Lake
 

Visit to Kalaw market in the morning.

After that, a 2 hours drive to Nyaung Shwe; the gate way to the Inle Lake. We will be transfered by boat for 30 minutes to the best luxurious hotel on the Lake.
 
Inle Lake is 22x10 km, with an average depth of 6 meters. There are 64 villages and their inhabitants who reside on the lake in their homes that rest high above the water.
  We will observe the lifestyle of these inhabitants who support their families by farming and fishing. We will enjoy lunch on a floating restaurant where we will see families making their way to various destinations – sometimes carrying food staples or other items with them in their canoes.
 
Afternoon sightseeing to Ywama village - floating gardens, a traditional weaving mill for Intha-textiles, silk weaving workshops; excellent work of shawls and robes with natural fibers produced from lotus flowers stems in natural color.
  Visit to Nampan village – We will observe the handmade production of the Burmese Cheroots or Burmese cigars are produced primarily by young ladies using traditional methods.
     
 
If time allows and you are not tried, we will visit to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda and its 5 holy Buddha images. Every full moon day of October, the Pagoda Festival is celebrated there for 15 days and homage is paid to 19 villages at Inle Lake.

OR go back to hotel earlier at guest’s advice.
 
Enjoy sunset from hotel room terrace seeing the sun shine on the refreshing lake, which will fill your heart with wonderful memory.
      
Overnight in Inle Lake.
  Day 7:  Inle Lake
 

We will start from Hotel by 800AM, morning visit to visit where every 5 days market is at one of the villages on the lake alternately. On the way, we can observe the lifestyle of these inhabitants who support their families by farming and fishing.

We will come back to the downtown of the Inle Lake.
 
After lunch, we also will visit a work place of Shan paper that is made from mulberry bark and transformed into Shan umbrellas and other beautiful products.
 
We will go back to hotel and take a leisure for a moment.
  Traditional Cooking Experience in Intha House - Duration about 4 hours
 
This cooking class is usually in the evening. In the afternoon by 3PM, the clients will go to the villager's house by canoe from the resort.
   
   
   
 
As soon as the clients reach to the villager's house, they'll be welcomed with Shan Tea and family of the house. Then they can start cooking in the kitchen with the help of our chefs by learning how to prepare our traditional dishes. After that, the family will join with them for meals so that the clients can share how we enjoy their meals. Finally, our chefs will offer "Cooking Class Experience Certificate" to them along with Traditional Intha Food Recipes for all the dishes which they've experienced.
 
Fare well to the family and return to the Hotel by Canoe under the stars.
   

Overnight in Inle Lake.

  Day 8:  Inle Lake - Heho/ Thandwe by morning flight - Ngapali Beach
 

Transfer to airport for flight to Thandwe. Arrive to Ngapali Beach.

Guests will unwind at the beach relaxing and soaking up the beautiful scenery.

Overnight at Ngapali Beach.

  Day 9:  Ngapali Beach
 

A boat excursion to Private Island. When you will be snorkelling, our boat driver and assistant would have been preparing BBQ lunch accompanying with Arakanese home cook egg plant curry, rice and of course we do not miss fresh coconut juice and beer for you.

After lunch by 2 PM, we will come back to Ngapali Beach. In the afternoon, relax on beach.

     

Overnight at Ngapali Beach.

  Day 10:  Ngapali Beach
 

Visit to fishing village where is a 15 min walk away from hotel. The morning activity of village people under the soft sunlight is very lively and it will be stuck on your memory about their earnest faces for their daily work, smiling face of children playing along the beach while parents and family are busy with their day-hope.

After observing at the village, we will go through the other way of the village. We will have an opportunity to to speaking insightful with the locals. After visiting, we will come back to hotel by trishaw.

Overnight at Ngapali Beach.

  Day 11:  Ngapali Beach - Thandwe/ Yangon by morning flight
 

Transfer to Thandwe airport for an hour flight to Yangon.

After arrival, transfer to hotel.
 
Visit to Bogyoke Market where local merchants offer Myanmar traditional silks, cotton, paintings, tapestries, handicrafts, silverware, lacquerware, national dress & ethnic fashions, gems & jewelry.
For your information, Tamarind does not work shopping tour. Our itineraries include visiting to markets, workshops that intend to have an observation of local trading trends, the process of art & craft, the ways how locals survive for their family living. If our guests are not interested in visiting those spots, please kindly skip the venues.
 
Lunch at Furusato Japanese Restaurant.
  Afternoon, visit to China Town, Nanthida Jetty, observing the lively people who goes and comes by ferry boat to attend their work. Leisure at hotel.
 
Dinner at Governor’s Residence Hotel Restaurant. You will enjoy your evening with candle light dinner in the Garden.
   

Overnight in Yangon.

  Day 12:   Yangon/ Bangkok
  Transfer to Yangon International airport.
