Day 1: Yangon – visit Yangon

We will start our visit with Walking tour in the heart of downtown where you can see interesting building and history of Rangoon … Indian quarter, Sule pagoda, City Hall, The Rowe & Co., Independent monument, Immuel Baptist Church, High Court, colonial building along Pansodan Street walk along Kanar street, The classic Strand Hotel, Australian Embassy, British Embassy, General Post Office which are now on the property list of 30 Heritage Buildings of Yangon.

A short drive to Botataung Pagoda locates on the Yangon Water Front seeing the interesting believe of locals. We will see to Chauk Htaut Gyi reclining Buddha Image which was erected in 1908 by Sir Phoe Thar, 235 feet (70 meter) in length, 101 feet in height. We can observe the Buddha’s foot print of 108 noble signs which are shown only in enlighten one.

Next agenda to observe General Aung San Museum established in 1962. It was built in 1921, General Aung San’s residence for a 2 years till he was being assassinated in July 1947, the house where Myanmar Social Democratic leader, 1991 Noble Peace prize awarded, The first female Minister of Foreign Affairs, The first State Counsellor Mrs. Aung San Suu Kyi grown up as a child. (Closed on Monday & Public Holiday).

After lunch, visit to Bogyoke market where local merchants offer Myanmar traditional silks, cottons, paintings, tapestries, handicraft, national dress, ethnic fashion, gems and jewelry.

Evening visit to Shwedagon Pagoda the world famous golden stupa.  Transfer to your hotel.
