Myanmar Mango

The Myanmar Mango is the most popular fruit in our tropical land. It is grown throughout the entire country. The mango season begins after the monsoon rains in November. One of the sweetest and juiciest mango grown in Burma is called the sein ta lone “single diamond”. The texture of the single diamond mango is soft, and the flesh of this delicacy will melt in your mouth.

From February through May is the season of green mango. Burmese house wives make a green mango salad with pounded peanut, dried shrimp, slices of green onions and flavor of sesame oil, serve as an appetizer for lunch time of family week-ends during hot season. Visitors will see many vendors on the streets selling green mangoes at small villages, towns and cities as well.

We have saying that Mango is King of the Fruits.
