Booking Conditions, Payment Method and Payment Policy

Tamarind Travel is a full service travel & tour company that is located in Yangon, Myanmar. The following conditions apply for any booking with Tamarind.


*Tours can be booked via filling in your trip details on the Reservation/ Confirmation forms located under the Reservations section of the website.

*Kindly indicate any special requests on the Reservation form so that we can best accommodate you.

(2) Payment method and payment policy

Payments are made via bank transfer after you have received your confirmation e-mail by Tamarind Travel. Bank transfer information will also be provided at this time.

A 30% of tour fee is requested to secure the booking.
The remaining payment will be requested on 45 days before your arrival date.

(3) Tour Amendments

Tour details can be amended at any time prior to confirmation without charge.
After confirmation of bookings, there is a $25.00 per person administration and handling fees for any amendments.

(4) Cancellation of Booking

Tamarind’s clients can cancel a booking at anytime prior to the start of the trip, either in writing, via e-mail, or telephone call. Your cancellation will be effective when Tamarind receives and acknowledges your cancellation. The following cancellation fees apply:


  • More than 36 days
  • 35 – 30 days
  • 0 – 29 days
  • Nocharge
  • 50%
  • 100%


(5) Refund

There will be no refunds after the commencement of travel.
Refund will be given for unused services included in program if it is directly caused by Tamarind.

(6) Children’s Pricing

Children price will be provided at your inquiry.

(7) Travel Insurance

Tamarind recommends you secure a travel insurance package in your home country, to cover any unforeseen incidents such as loss of luggage, cancellation, or health expenses.

(8) Documents

You will need a passport and visa for traveling to Myanmar.
To apply for entry visa, please contact the Myanmar Embassy or Consulate in your home country. This requires a document from Tamarind Travel in the form of an invitation letter written on our company letterhead that we will provide to you and our embassy in your country.
